Multiple Categories Link Manager No Longer Works

In former versions of zen cart, I was able to click on the (C) button on any category, and link to the multiple categories link manager page, where one category could be linked to many other categories. This function no longer works, and I am unable to link them one by one, as there are about a hundred categories I would like to link. Is there a mod that works for this function at this point, since it has been removed from the main zen cart tools? I tried the Multiple Categories Link Manager - Sorted mod that is available, and it does not work for this version. I appreciate your help. Thanks!

We had a simple store, with no additional modules installed. We are running MySQL version 5.0.96. The php version is 5.2.17 and was updated through the hosting company well in advance of the problem described. The site is running version 1.5.1, and is a new site with zen cart installed. It is not an update of an earlier site. Other zen cart sites I have had in the past have had a menu that has a feature called Multiple Categories Link Manager which appears as an option when you click the c copy button when you are in the category menu.

When this version of the cart was installed, however, the blue c button was completely missing, and I could not find the multiple categories link manager. So I tried installing a mod called Copy Categories 1.6. This made the c button appear in the categories menu, but the option for Multiple Categories Link Manager still would not appear.

So then I installed the Multiple Categories Link Manager-Sorted version 2. I did not think this would work since it stated that the version it was written for was v1.3.9 and I have v1.5.1, but I tried it anyway. It did not work, and there is still no Multiple Categories Link Manager function available on this website. I have about 50 sub-categories that need to be copied to 20 master categories, and doing it one by one would be an incredibly time consuming activity. I have done this before with other carts, so I know that it can be done. Any help with this missing feature would be appreciated. Thanks!

...with an important caveat...that "c" option only appears/is available on a product item, not a subcategory item.
Then after clicking "C" on a product, at the bottom of the option box is the link to the Multiple Categories Link Manager, or to give it its full title, Products to Multiple Categories Link Manager.
As I use it so much, I added a direct link to it on my admin menu, or just you can just bookmark it.

As far as I am aware you can move a category but you can't copy it (in vanilla Zen Cart), hence the existence of a mod to do just that.

What you are after is the creation of multiple subcategories followed by the mass linking of products between them: two processes.
Creating and naming categories is time-consuming tedium, so I would create the categories by importing a spreadsheet of the new categories using Apsona, then I would resign myself to using the Products to Multiple Categories Link Manager to bulk link the products in the categories
