Responsive Sheffield Blue v1.0

grandpaj:

Im pretty sure I did. Am I able to install again, and see what happens.

Grandpaj

I found a mistake in the respnosive.sql file and it is missing this:

ALTER TABLE layout_boxes ADD show_box_min_width TINYINT( 1 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '1' AFTER layout_box_status_single;

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v1.0

Hi

Well I uninstalled Zen Cart so as DB would be fresh then reinstalled Zen Cart. Then followed instructions carefully for Responsive Sheffield Blue install, however still get the same warning(WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again) I refresh page but nothing. and nothing in the Layout Controller Box except headings Did update the responsive sql patch as above.

I'm about ready to tear my hair out, as I took the installation very carefully but must have missed something.
Anyone any help please.(...all4kidz dot co dotnz /NewZen)

Many thanks
Grandpa

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v1.0

I see your site, seems to me you need to go into the admin side and turn your sideboxes on under tools>layout boxes

Hi
Thats what I thought, but unfortunately, the Layout Box Controller doesn't want to work.
Ive downloaded the layout contoller.php in the responsive sheefield blue packagebut for some reason wont work.

Any more thoughts would be appreciated.

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v1.0

Hi

Just checking that I have uploaded the layout controller.php for admin area to the right place.

Uploaded to admin or renamed admin, and uploaded layout controller.php to this directory. Hope this makes sense.

Cheers

Did you run the responsive.sql patch and the other patches?

Thanks,

Did you back up your layout_controller.php file before installing the template? If so, restore it and see if the layout boxes controller works.

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v1.0

Yes, Anne, I also have the 'Layout Box Controller' Problem. Looks like this package is not as good as your others...

I have followed your instructions and the order strictly, go from the beginning, step by step... and then I have this problem and can not go further...

If I restore the back-up file, then the 'Tools->Layout Box Controller' menu works, I can do the reset, but this is the old file, it wont go to the new template...

Gee, thanks for the vote of confidence!

I am reluctant to say that this is a bug in the template since so many people are installing it with no problems. You need to have this part of the patch installed for the responsive option in the layout boxes controller to show:

SET @configuration_group_id=0;
SELECT (@configuration_group_id:=configuration_group_id) FROM configuration_group WHERE configuration_group_title= 'Layout Settings' LIMIT 1;
INSERT INTO configuration (configuration_id, configuration_title, configuration_key, configuration_value, configuration_description, configuration_group_id, sort_order, date_added, use_function, set_function) VALUES
(NULL, '<font color="#0044ff">ACTIVATE Responsive Template by selecting Column Widths</font>', 'COLUMN_WIDTH', '2', 'Width of the Left and Right Columns<br />0 = Use Default Template Settings<br />1 = 75px<br />2 = 150px<br />3 = 225px',@configuration_group_id, NULL, NOW(), NULL, 'zen_cfg_select_option(array(\'0\', \'1\', \'2\', \'3\'),');

ALTER TABLE layout_boxes ADD show_box_min_width TINYINT( 1 ) NOT NULL DEFAULT '1' AFTER layout_box_status_single;

Thanks,

Anne

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v1.0

Hi Anne

Yes I did back up the Layout controller.php and if I use the "OLD" file the layout box works fine except that it does't include the responsive sheffield blue boxes.

Cheers

Re: Responsive Sheffield Blue v1.0

Hi Anne

Good news, "by mistake" I started uploading responsive Sheffield blue again, after about 20sec realized what I was doing, stopped the upload, and hey presto all now working (I think).

Don't know what happened.

All I have to do now is sort out the left and right boxes so as the positioning looks good.

Many thanks for a great template and your unselfish time to help.

Kind regards
Grandpaj

Did you change the name of the admin folder to the name of your admin?

Thanks,

I am with everyone else, am starting a new project and tried to install step by step 4 times and no layoutcontroller ever showed up. I trashed it and will use something else of yours.

Humour me please and see what happens if you try installing the responsive all business first, do you get the layout controller?
