SubCategories do not show in side box

I have some categories with 2 sub categories

example:

Main Category
>Sub Category
>Sub Category
......>Sub Category2
......>Sub Category2
......>Sub Category2

my issue is that when on the main page if I click the Main Category it only takes me to a page where there are sub category tabs there is no sub categories in my list until after I click on one of the tabs you can see what I mean by viewing my page at http://www.thebottomshelf.info simply click on a Main Category and you will see what it does. if anyone can please help me correct this issue it would be much appriciated. Thank You

That's a known issue with that template. Switch temporarily to the Classic template to confirm that that's the problem. ok so I tried that and yes it worked. so does that mean its shut off in the coding of the page? I don't like alot of the zen templates I need something that looks a bit flashy. where can I find these templates you were referring to?

thank you I was able to find a add-on that creates a java list now customers can view the categories without changing pages. The solution I found was called Click-Show-Hide Category Menu
