Non-Product Photo Gallery

Hi folks,

we recently held the first comic/Sci-fi convention in Plymouth and I want to set-up a gallery of images taken on the day. These are non-product, non-selling images and are just so people who attended can come to the website and look at images from the day.

Ideally I would like a page of thumbnails which expand on click/roll-over. I have installed the Zen Cart Lightbox plug-in but any advice about how I go about creating a gallery page will be greatly received.

Methinks that an EZ Page would be the place to start. Beyond that, I'm clueless.

Here's where the various Zen Cart product types comes in handy.. You could use the document_product product type. I would create a category for this gallery and make the document_product the default product type for this category, then create a document product in this category with additional images. This would work with your lightbox install.. I believe there is a document category sidebox you can use to display the document categories.

I ended up use the Lightbox rel tag on an EZPage and it works well, with just short of 100 thumbs which expand.

Hey James. Would you mind explaining a little better how you used lightbox on your EZPage? I have colorbox installed and would like to create a gallery as you have.
