Need my password

Here's a long story as short as I can make it. I own a small business, and paid a firm to create a website with a shopping cart for me. That firm has gone out of business, and I have no contact info for the owner. My admin login doesn't work for me on my website and I was told by the host that I need to contact zencart for my password. Help!

I can't seem to reset my admin password and no email is sent as requested. I've tried to delete the old user and add a new one using the instructions provided, but got an error saying that the file doesn't exist. What do I do now? I'm using Zencart v.1.5 (I think...can't tell for sure since I can't log in) Thanks for any help that you can provide!

You followed the phpMyAdmin instructions in the FAQ ?

Try using a differant browser, I have seen this happen on Chrome but work on IE.

Otherwise:

I would go into you phpMyAdmin and in your admin table put this in the password field for your username.

Then login with the username and then the password would be admin

I'm using IE and yes, I used the phpMyAdmin instructions in the FAQ as well. I change the password in the admin file like you suggested and it worked after I created a new user. I could never get my current user name to work, I think somehow the user name I was using was cursed?? Anyway, it worked following your password change directions to the admin file...thanks so much for your help!!!
