Little stuck, help with sage pay.

I have been trying to get something working all day now and its just not really working. I contacted Jamie at JSWeb for some help deciding which version of Connors (ceon) addons to get direct, server or form for the sagepay. At first I went with form method which cost me £90 I installed it and changed my mind. Sadly I couldn't simply swap to the other plugin as he mentioned something about licencing. So I had to pay £63 for the direct method plugin. In the end I wasn't too bothered about that as Jamie said they make no money from it and the money goes to charity.

When I try to install that It doesn't work. I cant contact Jamie at the moment because it seems he is offline.

It looks like the reason I cant install the plugin is because it has been encrypted so I cannot use it freely or modify it. The form one was not encrypted. I think the reason for the encryption is to tie me down to paying £90 per year for the plugin which at one point was only £50 on Connors website and I don't think it was encrypted either.

It looks like it actually wasn't encrypted at one point and it was just £75 for the plugin.

So I have a couple of questions,

Will the encrypted plugin slow the website performance down at all as it will have to decrypt and check every-time?

Is there anywhere else I can get Connors plugins?

Are there any other plugins for the sage-pay direct method?

So far im £153 down and I don't have anything close to working yet and it wasn't as I hoped as everything is encrypted!

Yeah, There is only Connors form method on the forum which I already have the full version for from JSWeb, It works perfectly but I decided its not the plugin for me.

As JSWeb are the only people will the plugin and they are only selling encrypted access it looks like my only options are to pay for the plugin each year or make a new one.

if you are happy to modify a plugin for the payment gateway i work for (CardStream.com.. who are cheaper than who you will end up using.. but i digress) then you should be able to edit the module I am making for our merchant, its open sourced so obviously free of charge although i would prefer you use us so we can make money on your transactions; there is nothing stopping you editing the module to talk to sagepay... its a little rough around the edges but works, you should be able to swap out the stuff talking to cardstream for the gateway you want.

Damn, I was going to use Sage myself, but without Connor's coding skills to support it I decided against it. Still looking for a decent payment plugin for zencart that actually works properly and supports all the cards. Seems to be nothing that is without major issues.
