Key words for seo

Hi
Hope i have put this in the correct part of the forum if not admin please move it to the relevant section.

My question is this :
When i have a page on my website in my browser and left click mouse and select view page source so i can see the key words etc
All of my products show my page title (product ) which is fine but then it shows all my shop top categories like this :

how do i get zencart not to show the red text as its on every product and wont google penalize my ranking for this

There is a "Search Engine" section in the Forum. click "Forum" and scroll down to it. Perhaps an answer to your question is in there. I personally do not know if that will be helpful or not.

This may or may not be of help. I do use the "Meta tags" feature on each category and item, that black and white circle on the far right of the category/product line. It offers some choices about what shows in the browser (and I believe on the search engine pages) for each category/item page. That circle is red on mine below because I have customized it -- on the far right, it is red and white:

use the metatag "yin yang" type button on the the category and change the keywords as required. but TBH keywords aren't the be all and end all and i wouldn't think you would be penalised for duplicate keywords by google, as google is more interest in page content rather than keyword metadata. how ever bing and yahoo still look at your keywords

You can open the modules/meta_tags, find 'index' and modify it.
