How to add more sideboxes (not alternating)

Using Zencart 1.3.9h

Hi,

I have created a few sideboxes but cannot work out how to get three of them to show at the same time (one under the other). If I activate all 3 they alternate i.e. each time the page is refreshed a different one will show each time (but only 1 per page). I have attached a screenshot of my current set-up and am sure it's something simple I am missing, but a search of the forum and my zencart manual have not helped me work it out.

NOTE - The group in question is called Sidebox-Banners and I only have one switched on in this image to stop the alternating thing happening.

I have tried changing sort orders etc but that does not help :(

Any help appreciated.

What you have created is not three sideboxes, but three banners to go in the one sidebox-banners sidebox. If you want all of them displaying, you need to use the Blank Sidebox mod from Plugins to create actual sideboxes. It's pretty simple to do, as long as you pay attention and follow instructions.
You will then turn those sideboxes on in Tools > Layout Boxes Controller.

If you want your other sideboxes to be controllable in the Banner Manager, you can 'clone' the banner sideboxes. Instructions here:

Also there's a fairly new add-on which adds additional banner sideboxes.. dunno the EXACT name of the addon, it's by Delia..

Hello,

Can someone point me in the right direction for instructions on how to add an image to the right side of my site? I have an image with text in it that I would like to place on the right side so that customers that click on one of my products listed on a shopping site and go directly to the product page will see it. I know how to place it in the center portion of the home page but that page is usually not viewed by people coming to the site from a shopping site.

I tried to edit one of the original zen-cart banner images but when I turned it on, it kept rotating different banners but I'm not sure I did it right. I'll take a look at Blank Sidebox module and see if I can figure it out. I think I might have found a solution as this text image I was wanting to put up has to do with a special coupon code and it tells them to click on my live chat button to request it. I have my own live chat images (online/offline) so I'm trying to resize them and adding the text below the actual button making it one image. In other words, the live chat buttons will actually be the total button and text image all in one button......I hope, working on it right now to see if it will work.

It works with the current Zencart version.

The banner might be easier, but you'll have to make sure you only have one banner assined to the banner group name you use for your image.

I would agree with stevesh that the banner option is far more along the path of what you are seeking: clickable image that will take the guest to a particular location, shows wherever the banner is enabled and requires so little effort on your part other than getting the photo the "right size" and establishing a few settings.
