tax always displays zero

Hi everyone,
the whole week I'm breaking my head why my tax rate is always showing 0 in the checkout and confimation page:blush: I don't know how to solve this issue. The options in configuration>my store for the taxes are:
Tax Decimal Places 10
Display Prices with Tax false
Display Prices with Tax in Admin false
Basis of Product Tax Shipping
Basis of Shipping Tax Shipping
Sales Tax Display Status 0
Show Split Tax Lines true
Store Status

even if I change Display Prices with Tax and Display Prices with Tax in Admin into true the same result comes up...

I checked my zone definition tax class and tax rate and everything seems to be right. Please I need help here.

Please answer these basic questions:

• What version of Zen Cart are you using?
• Has your site been upgraded? When? From what version(s)?
• If you've upgraded, HOW did you upgrade? (official upgrade procedure or an automated script from your hosting company?)
• What plugins/addons have you installed? When?
• HOW did you install Zen Cart? (upload via FTP and run zc_install, or a one-click install from your hosting company?
• What version of PHP and MySQL is your server using? (See Admin->Tools->Server Info)
• WHEN did the problem "start"? How does that compare with other events of your hosting company, changes you've made to your site files/addons, or your admin settings, etc?
• How long has this store been live? How long as this problem existed?
• In what ways is your site customized or different from a brand new uncustomized install?
• Please post your site URL* so we can take a look at it.

1)My zen cart is v1.3.9h
2) I haven't upgraded my version since then (almost a year ago)
3)my addons are ezpages_footer_colum, magiczoomplus,multilanguage_ezpages_1.3.0.5v2.02, tabbed_products.
dual_pricing_1.9 which is for (retail & whole price), tinyMCE, FCKeditor and CKeditor.
4) upload via FTP and run zc_install
5)PHP Version 5.4.20 and MySQL 5.5.32-cll
6) don't know exactly I discover it a week ago.
7)the site is live since 2012

a)The only changes I've made is that I created new banners in many locations of the site specially on the home page
b) I did some modifications on the dual_pricing_1.9 but it didn't have to do with the tax rates.

Usually when I have problems with takes these are the items I check.

1.) Check Rates
2.) Zone Defines
3.) Order Total Sort order (not 2 the same and non of them 0)
4.) Verify The products are marked as taxable goods

Usually those items solve my issues, have you tried all these?

I've tried this.. it does nothing...can anyone help me out here? DrByte I've answered all your questions but you didn't reply...you did not helped me at all..

Do you have any error files in your cache directory?

Did your hosting company upgrade you to php 5.4 recently?
Php 5.4 does not work with zen-cart without a lot of code changes.
My recommendation, would be to roll the php back to 5.3, if possible. If not, you will need to upgrade to zen-cart 1.5.1, and make all of the changes laid out here: http://www.zen-cart.com/showthread.php?202319-PHP-5-4-warnings-Illegal-string-offset/page2
Go to post #14, and click on the two links, you will be able to see the necessary code changes.

My invoice shows tax rate 8% but prices including and excluding tax are the same.. Item is taxable goods.

I upgraded to zen cart 1.5 manually but the I had the same results again the tax rate at the front end always displays zero. Could anyone help me out here? anyone knows what kind of changes do I have to make here?..Personally I think it has to do with the settings in the admin panel but I don't know exactly what it is...I've been searching this issue for 3 weeks now...If anyone has the solution or has the same problem with me..Please post it here...

I can't duplicate that problem, but why do you have the tax rate set to 10 decimal places?
