Zen Magnific Support Thread

yaritai:

Much appreciated. This afternoon I was looking over the additional_images.php and the tpl_main_product_image.php and compared them to the zenlightbox addon. I recognized that this one used relBOF and relEOF to wrap the images. In lightbox they only use rel. And when comparing, it seems that it is not a missing a div but rather an extra end div is being put in the script.

I did the merges and am going to test my modifications to see if the errors are still present. But will look forward to your update.

Well and update is that my modifications did not work out so well.

As an aside, I have 1 other question. For the jscript I should only be uploading this one "jquery.magnific-popup.min.js"? And the other one, "jquery.magnific-popup.js" I assume is the older version before you added your edits? I also removed the reference to the call to 1.7.1 jquery as I have a newer one loaded sitewide.

jquery.magnific-popup.min.js is the compressed production version (which is auto loaded)

jquery.magnific-popup.js is the uncompressed development version (which will not auto load, it is simply for reference for those that want to alter the script functions)

That is ok, this plugin will work with jQuery 1.7.1+ or Zepto.js 1.0+

Re: Zen Magnific Support Thread

Version 1.5.1

I have a clean install, and the Stirling Grand template installed with no other extra js files. The main product image and additional images display as normal. But Zen Magnific does not pick up the additional images - I get an error message in the case of each stating that, eg, 'The image #2 could not be loaded'. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and can see no error in installation. I guess it must be, but I can't see it. Any suggestions?

Re: Zen Magnific Support Thread

Any suggestions as to why the 'The image #2 could not be loaded' error occurs, or might occur? I have removed and reinstalled enough times to know that the problem does not lie there. Does the problem lie with the Stirling Grand template? I don't think so - the Zen Magnific plugin gets a mention in the Stirling Grand support thread with no suggestions of issues.

I suggest you post your site in question as it would help someone troubleshoot the issue. As far as the mod, I haven't run into any problems loading it on sites. Works out of the box as expected. I don't suspect it could be a template issue, but did you have any other mods installed or any core changes that you did.

Re: Zen Magnific Support Thread

A fresh install, with Stirling Grand, Keepalive Timer, and Admin Catalog Thumbs. That's it. Only one product loaded:

italianahandbags.com .au /014/

First product in category Faranella has 3 additional images, and illustrates the issue. I don't know there is much to learn from that, but I hope there is!

Check the permissions setting on your image folders.

I get:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /014/images/large/faranella/faran_1_LRG.jpg on this server.

Re: Zen Magnific Support Thread

Ah yes. I hadn't reset that folder. And I also hadn't removed the image suffixes. But now I've turned off Zen Magnific - which still can't find the additional images - and in its basic state, zencart does not load the actual additional images. Clicking on each additional image loads the main product image. The image names are faran.jpg, faran_1.jpg, faran_2.jpg, faran_3.jpg, which works for me on other sites. So it's a problem with me and images.

I'm uploading a zen cart module for adding Magnific Pop-Up image display to Zen Cart. It can be seen in action at Renaissance Man Inc . com

Not to be nitpicky, but the description of this module states:

Credit is due to Alex Clarke, NieStudio because I basically took Zen Magnific/Zen Colorbox Alex Clarke and NieStudio are in fact TWO different people not one and the same.. Alex Clarke is one of the original author's of Zen Lightbox. NieStudio (who's name is Daniel) took over the care and upkeep of Zen Lightbox, and then eventually developed and released Zen Colorbox..

If you do not mind I am going to ask the admins to correct the description a tad to reflect the name correction.. Since I worked with Daniel on the testing and documentation of Zen Colorbox, I just think he deserves credit where credit is due..

Re: Zen Magnific Support Thread

The description has always confused me a bit as well

From personal experiences with this plugin, I can confirm it can work with all the stock popups, can be used for account login, languages, currencies, newsletter subscribe, product notification, shopping cart and the list goes on for what I have used it for.

It can work, meaning you will need to custom code it to work, the plugin readme covers the product pages and ez-pages only.

Re: Zen Magnific Support Thread

HI,
I had this and Image Handler 4 working together ok, but for some reason I had to later re-install IH4 and now Magnific is not picking up on the additional product images.

Any known reason for this?

Thanks

Anyone?

I know that Image Handler 4 has a auto install method. And since you mention nothing about going back to compare the magnific files I can only assume that you did not merge back in the core files that both of them share? So go back and treat magnific as a reinstall and see what files need to be modified and it will work after that.

Re: Zen Magnific Support Thread

Hello ;) I am developing a new free responsive template package and am having a confusing problem with this module. If you look here:

http://www.weblyweb.com/che/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_10&products_id=17

you can see the module working perfectly. If you look here:

http://www.weblyweb.com/che/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_13&products_id=8

you can see a problem with the additional images not being found with the error "The image #2 could not be loaded." etc.

In the first link, the default zen cart images and additional image is used. In the second link that is not working, I changed the main product image and added the additional images using naming convention test8.jpg for the main, test8_01.jpg, test8_02.jpg, test8_03.jpg, etc for the additional images.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me figure out why the second example is not working. I can't in good conscience include the module in the free template package until I can figure this out ;)

Thanks,

Anne

I posted a moment too soon! I removed the code for image handler (image handler is not installed in the template package) in includes/modules/override/additional_images.php and now all seems to be working ;)

Thanks,

Anne
