Zen Mobile template recommendations?

For you folks that have already installed a mobile template for your Zen Cart, any recommendations would be most appreciated.
I've found several via Google, but of course no telling which are best choices...

I'm looking for a template that installs and uses exiisintg database,n but with some tweaking to such things as the checkout pages to make it more mobile usable, then my current zen cart woudl be. Or does your template require a good deal of programming to work properly?

Good question. Not sure. Wouldn't a mobile temp;late give me more flexibility vs a response which from my little understanding is sync'd to the desktop template?

I found 12leaves mobile template easy to install, very easy to customize and I think it looks and functions well.

I tried another mobile template and it completely crashed my site on initial installation. It did not get much further than that due to the simplicity of other solutions available.

You can set up a test site and try to install any template that you want. My responsive template is free so it's not important for me if you use it or not :)

Have you installed for your zen cart? If so, Do yo mind sharing the URL?

Your definitions are incorrect..

1. Mobile Template - a secondary template which is ONLY displayed on mobile/devices browsers.. (often the URL changes when a mobile template is in use)
2. Responsive - a single template that RESPONDS to the device by displaying the content in a manner which "fits" the device size/type

There is no one better than the other IMHO, it's is simply a matter of different choices with different functions.

• In a mobile template implementation, some changes made to the main template may have to be ported over to the mobile template
• In a responsive template implementation some changes made to the main template may have to be modified for some media queries

Though there will be those who will come down squarely in the camp of mobile and others in the responsive camp, the TRUTH is which one to use depends on the site, and personal preferences.

Picaflor Azul has a number of FREE good looking responsive templates.. (Please go the free add-ons section under the "Responsive" category..)

Did you happen to come up with any good recommendations? I am looking for a mobile module, but same as you, I've found several, and no one really raving about anyone in specific, which is making it difficult to decide.
