Link to description of discount coupon

I want to be able to provide a link to my customers to the description of a discount coupon. I know they could type in the coupon code on the discount coupon page but is there anyway I can pass the coupon code in a query string or something?

Thanks,
Leslie

Lunabug, yes... but you didn't describe how or where you'd like to show them in the cart, email, etc ?
