Attributes... dropdown menu with images

Hello

Up to now I have handled the color selection by using the radio buttons matched to an image of each color... it's OK as long as the number of colors is relatively low.

I now have to allow the selection of a color within something like 100 or more colors so that I cannot show them in the page and the only options seems to be a dropdown menu.

I do not see how can I have images matched with attributes in dropdown menus but I think it is possible as I've seen it done in the past.

Would you point me to some info or may be to a plugin if necessary?

Thanks and happy new year!!

The only plugin found at the moment that relates to this is:
http://www.zen-cart.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=699

However, it states the need to use a checkbox or radio button. I wonder if it could be modified to use a drop down, as there are basically the same "functions" that are called when the selection changes. Not sure though.

Maybe someone else know of one more suitable?
