how to move db from old version to new one.

i need to update a very old zen cart site to latest version , current site was updated from 1.36 to 1.3.8. with many plugins.
What i need to do , is install 1.5.1 ( or whatever the latest ) and transfer the database from olde ZC to new one. how can i do this.

There's this amazing folder that comes with each download of ZC. Nestled right under the root, the docs directory has answers to most (if not all) your questions.
Take the plunge and rip the shrink-wrap off the docs folder.
Shortcuts are often not.

thanks. fixed the issue i had with db .. thats why i was not able to upgrade. but now is done.
