Need to move some things

Hello:

I wasn't too sure where to place this but I thought this was the best place. I really need some help.

I wanted to move the add to cart buttom to below the description so I went to:

/includes/templates/abbington_mega/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

to move it. Apparently, I messed some things up. Please take a look at this page and at the bottom you will see.

I would like to move the attribute "Please make a selection" to the left under "Your Liner Color. You can also see that "Your Size" is out of place. I need to move it atop of "Please make a selection" where the sizes are.

As a kind of side shot here, I would also like to move the tiny Model # and Units in stock up under the pricing next to the image and make it larger.

I hope I'm not asking too much here. I am definitely learning a lot but thanks in advance for your help.

Add to the stylesheet for:

That should fix it.

Are effectively the same, so you would only need to add the one extra line after the last semi-colon. In your file it is all smooshed together to save storage space, because that file gets transmitted to every visitor of the site. The less to transmit, the faster the load time. It just happenes that on badarac's side the simple padding: statement got expanded to the four sides of that control.

In this case yeah, good you asked (though if you had firebug for example installed on firefox, you could test these things out on the fly without affecting your site.)

The extra "code" of the width goes into the area defined as LABEL, h4.optionName, which in this case is the first line of the information provided and would/could be like the following (color not required :) )

So, if you look in includes/templates/abbingdon_mega/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php, you'll want to search for:

<!--bof Product details list  -->

Which is around line 135 of the default version of the template file.
Highlight the area that includes all code inclusive from the the next line from there until the line with

<!--eof Product details list -->

Move all of that code to the area between the following two which are around lines 73-75:

<!--eof Product Price block -->

<!--bof free ship icon  -->

I believe this will put the two lines just below the price area,

then in your stylesheet.css file again, if you go to about line 236 and change it from:

#productDetailsList {color:#444443}

#productDetailsList {color:#444443;font-size:1.3em;}

You can then also play with the value to increase or decrease the size. Ideally the size will adjust depending on the device viewing the page.

First, a point to consider:

LABEL, h4.optionName {line-height: 1.5em;padding: 0.2em;width:100%;}

will affect all labels sitewide, which may not be good.
You want to be more specific and address only the elements you intend. h4.optionName is specifically the individual option title, so do this:

LABEL, h4.optionName {line-height: 1.5em;padding: 0.2em;}
h4.optionName {width:100%;}

A refinement you might want to do is to hide the default "Please make a selection" and its button, as it is not needed to be seen. This rule will hide the one in the product you linked to, and similar rules could be made for others. ```

For your recent question, those are "product details", and you can move the corresponding code block in the file up to where you want it to display. You can control the size with a new stylesheet rule like```

The #productDetailsList rule goes in your stylesheet, pretty much anywhere (except inside another rule). I see the details up below the main image in your new link; what else is supposed to be happening that isn't?

On this entire category the model #, stock, etc is where I want it to be, which is to the right of the image and under the price:

but on the rest of the site it hasn't changed, ie:

Devil in the details... If you look closely and also remember, the details used to be below the additional image(s). Now the details (in all cases reviewed) are above the additional images. The link provided shows the details below the main image, but if you scroll one product to the left or right, you see that it moves up and under the price. What you will also see is that your images are of different sizes, and this larger image that you have directed us to is pushing the details down. There are a number of ways to correct, but you should try to identify what your requirements are. Should pictures be allowed to get that big without clicking on them, should the text that is desired to be to the right of the picture be limited by how wide it can be, is it okay for it to shift downward like it has... Etc.. etc..
