create customer account

When a customer tries to create an account to check out this notice appears and I do not know how to fix it. This just started to happen in the last couple of days. Any help os appreciated.

1034 Incorrect key file for table 'customers'; try to repair it
in:
[select count(*) as total from customers where customers_email_address = '[email protected]']

You need to repair your database. Try logging into your cpanel (or whatever) and run the DB repair tool.
