Perhaps would help to provide a link. Say this because there is no indication that said readonly attributes are showing at all.

Answer is basically yes, they can be made to show wherever you want them. Most of your code/link for this will be in the applicable template for the product type you are dealing with. (Although the default product has a lot of the display information in the includes/modules/product_listing.php or as appropriately modified: includes/modules/YOUR_TEMPLATE/product_listing.php

The template files are located mostly in includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates

Re: Attributes in description when showing product listing

Thinking about it a little more as well, the typical attribute display does so without regard to the "type" of attribute. You would want to consider the future of your cart (or perhaps the present) to identify how you want to proceed. If you plan on only having readonly attributes, then you can simply move the attribute display portion to the area desired. If you plan on having other types of attributes, then two thoughts come to mind: copy the code that displays attributes to new override functions, make one that will display readonly only, and one that will display all but readonly. The other would be to apply some other means of creating an additional field(s) to hold these attributes that you want. The down side to the latter is that you wouldn't have the attribute manager available directly (without additional coding) to manage those attributes, the downside of the former is that no readonly attribute could be mixed with other types of attributes. (I think this could cause a problem when presented with a list where it would be desired for the first iitem to be something like "please select one of the below options") (just speaking from the hip, haven't dug into this direction as a solution.)

Regardless, I would think would want to go more with an option that pulled from elsewhere as defined. What is the purpose/foreseeable benefit of this type of presentation?

Re: Attributes in description when showing product listing

  1. I have only readOnly attrributes and will have readOnly forever.
  2. All I need is to show just certain atrributes (for example those that ID is 1,2,3,4 ) and values that are used in product
  3. It should help user to find the product that he need (for example he need "Propulsion method" with value "Electrical"
ex. User sees category with list of products and also see those atributes - and thus more quicker finds what he needs. Also its cool as f**k

So the copy past method would be nice. Gonna try it. Thanks for reply.

Unfortunately, from the above I haven't a clue what the goal is, but, one easy way to identify how to move the attributes options is to view the source code of the web page when it is loaded through a browser, look for the <!-- that contains attributes, then enter the admin panel, through the tools->developer's tool kit, search for that phrase found in the previous search, and you will be provided the files in which the attributes are shown.

Then just cut and paste the applicable code from bof to eof where you want it to be displayed. As necessary add additional css related info to display the result how/where you want it.
