Contact Us For Pricing

I am wanting to set my shop a little different than most and that I want to have "Contact Us For Pricing" instead of showing prices and quantity available. The reason is because with the firearms industry the way it is right now, inventory is changing fast daily at wholesalers and prices can change quickly as well. If someone contact me for pricing I can get the most up - to - date pricing through my wholesalers and not have to worry about the price increased x amount of dollars since I posted it online 3 months ago etc.

My store is in "show room only" view and I don't want that. I am only able to see the product title but not the description that I typed for a certain item. Is there a way to fix this so that the customer can view the descriptions but still have to contact me for pricing / availability.

You don't have many products yet, so I'd guess the easiest way would be to make all your products 'Call For Price' when you create/edit them.

I know the firearms industry is a complete cluster, and has been for some time and most likely will continue to be, but I'm not sure this solution is the best idea. Assuming anyone has anything in stock, you'll lose sales to customers like me who don't want to wait for pricing information. Come to think of it, the lack of stock availability would work against you, since customers would fear that the items they wanted would be sold by the time they received the price.

I really think that in the case of ecommerce sites, different = bad.

Thanks for the reply. I believe you have helped me out many times before so again I thank you. I don't have much listed because I am manually entering all my items into ZC because I have found most of the descriptions on my wholesalers CSV file are either wrong information or the there is no product description etc.

I changed the Show Room Model to back to normal, (I think a 0) and I still cannot see the description that I put for the item. I currently have the following as a description but it is not showing on the front end.

Manufacturer: CCI

Model: A0053

Caliber / Gauge: 17HMR

Rounds Per Box: 50 Rounds

Velocity: 2550FPS

Minimum Boxes Per Order: 5 Boxes

Do you or anyone know how to fix this? I am sure it is probably a setting or something but can't figure it out.
As far as inventory / availability goes, I plan on showing quantities available but I am wanting to list the items first and go from there. As you stated alot is not available at least ammo so the inventory right now is not a big concern for me at the moment. I have some health issues and only work on the site when I feel good plus I am only allowed to make a certain amount of money a month (medical disability) so loosing a few sales is not a concern for me either, hope this makes sense.
