Flexible Language/Currency Header Options (Support Thread)

Flexible Language/Currency Header Options adds one of the following Language Options to your #navMainWrapper

1.) A List of Languages
2.) Language Icons
3.) Language Drop-Down Select
4.) Language Popup

Flexible Language/Currency Header Options adds one of the following Currency Options to your #navMainWrapper

1.) A List of Currencies
2.) Currency Icons
3.) Currency Drop-Down Select
4.) Currency Popup

ADMIN Configurations Include:
1.) Set which Language Option Shows
2.) Set which Currency Option Shows
3.) Set NEW Currency Icon image Directory
4.) Set NEW Currency Icon image Ext. (.gif, .png ect.)

In the DEMO, I added the:

Popup Option as DEFAULT
List Option on the Shipping & Returns page ONLY
Icons Option on the Conditions of Use page ONLY (displays generic icons)
Drop-Down Select Option on the Privacy Notice page ONLY

Nice one!

BUT: went to the demo site and changed the language from English to German.

Result:

Flexible Language/Currency Header Options

are not showing.

Me thinks that it needs a copy of the corresponding English language files :lookaroun

The options themselves are not showing in header? or the main page defines did not convert to german?

It was the latter. I only got a header bar with stock coding. When I checked again later I found a couple of drop downs (but with arrows cut off). I use Firefox.

Will check again in a few hours time and report back.

Should be good now, hopefully!

Demo includes all options to show how all options look, by default only 1 option can be chosen.

Popup option is CSS styled to look like drop-downs but can be styled any way you like.

Popup Option as DEFAULT

Seems I forgot to change the ADMIN Configuration name in the tpl_currency_header.php

find the 3 switch statements:
switch (ZCA_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY_OPTION) {

and change to:
switch (ZCA_CURRENCY_OPTION) {

I will make changes in next version.

I Appreciate the enthusiasm Frank!

As I continue to upgrade current projects I am looking at display differences, plugin similarities and different client needs to create a "New" user flexible and friendly plugin that combines the majority of these possibilities.

I am just glad it is useful to others. :D

Hi. I'm new to Zen Cart. How do I install this module? Thanks!

If anyone can shed some light. I don't see the language or currency in my header appear. However, when I go see the page source, I see where language_header.php and currency_header.php is called but it looks like this and I am really not a pro at this, but I am assuming that something other then then spaces right??

I go to my admin and search for this to make the set up and can't find it anywhere. Am I missing some files to modify the admin side?

Look in your admin's Configuration->Layout Settings (configuration_group_id = 19).

No problem. What I did to make that determination was (a) to see that the configuration values were being registered for configuration_group_id = 19 and then (b) went to phpMyAdmin to view my configuration_group table to see which one is associated with that id.

Hi,
I'm very new to Zen Cart so please bear with me. I am presently using: v1.5.5f
I have recently downloaded the 'Flexible Currency Header Option' which now appears under Admin-Configuration-Layout Settings. However no matter what options I choose (see below) I cannot get the currency dropdown to appear on my main menu banner. I do however, have a currency dropdown box on my left sidebar above my product subcategories.
