CKEditor HELP - TEXT PARAGRAPH SPACING

Hi Guys,

I am in need of some pro help.

I recently upgraded to 1.51 all is good.

The only problem is all of my product pages have lost their paragraph spacing's. I can manually do every paragraph and re-save the page and all is good. But I have 1000s of product pages :shocking:

Can anybody offer any ideas on how I can auto fix this??? :smartalec:

In word there is a setting "adding a space above" this works and also holds all the page text links and so on, but when I re-paste back in to CKeditor and then save nothing changes. AHHHGGGG

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

I don't have the specific answer, but perhaps can leave a breadcrumb for someone else to help further. Not being able to see the site/data, I envision that all of the paragraphs used to end in one of the carriage return styles instead of beginning with <p> and having a proper closing tag. So, it may be that the closing carriage return could be either doubled (to give an extra space) or converted to a closing paragraph and opening paragraph with an opening paragraph prepended to the text and then the last three characters (a new opened paragraph with no closing) removed.

There's also plugins like easy populate which would allow you to download your entire store, make changes to the text (could possibly do something similar as above) and then upload the entire product portion of the database back in.

Or as I began thinking could possibly use one or more SQL statements to somewhat what is described above. Kind of depends on who helps, what is identified as your previous paragraph spacing and well what feels comfortable.

If you're pasting from Word, that may be part of the problem. Please provide a link to the site so we can look at the source.

If your site is http://www.primecutsbodybuildingdvds.com/ (Found from another of your posts), I'm not seeing any issues with the paragraph spacing.

One thing I did notice from viewing the source though is that you are 'keyword spamming/stuffing'.
Sooner or later this is going to place the site into 'google hell'.

Cheers
