Discount coupon category restrictions help

Hey All,

I can't seem to get category restrictions to work for coupons. I can set up product restrictions without problem, but that isn't really what I need.

The category I am attempting to block is called Preorders and I have set up a temp coupon code for test which is 44445555

I'm sure I'm missing something as it seems simple enough but I can't seem to figure it out.

Actually, it is how the page is interpreting the code ... this has been fixed in v1.5.2 ...

While this is not displaying right for you, is it working right in the checkout?

NOTE: I have to dig up the changes for this and see if I can make them work in v1.5.1 ...

It does appear to be working in the checkout and it gives a message "This coupon code is not valid for any product currently in your cart."

If I have one excluded category item and one non excluded in my cart it gives no indication of the particular item being unavailable for coupon use, but it does not discount that product... so it seems to be working correct in that aspect.

If I did this right, you need these two files updated ...

Be sure to use your templates and overrides file on the tpl_main_page.php file ...

NOTE: in future upgrades, you should NOT need these changes as they will be built in ...
