I found the problem with the sidebox display on line 396 in stylesheet.css

It originally read as follows.

.betterEzpages a:before, .betterMoreinformation a:before, .betterDocuments a:before, .betterInformation a:before, .betterCategories a:before{position:absolute;font-family: FontAwesome;content: "\f0da";}

I have changed this line to read as follows

.betterEzpages a:before, .betterMoreinformation a:before, .betterDocuments a:before, .betterInformation a:before, .betterCategories a:before{position:relative; padding-right:5px;font-family: FontAwesome;content: "\f0da";}

Now the sidebox displays correctly.

Side Box 'Hover' Colour

Hi all,

Please can somebody advise how I change the sidebox 'hover' colour from the orange #fa6938?

I have scanned all the CSS files and replaced all incidents of #fa6938 but it has made no difference.

SSL Problem with left slide out on Winchester Responsive.

I have encountered a problem with the left slideout which impacts the SSL site.

When the https://victorydesigns.co.uk is displayed it throws a message 'Only Secure Content is Displayed'. When you enable show all content the left sideout box appears.

This also occurs when a client either registers or attempts to pay.

Is their a workaround to force the leftslide out to show on SSL or will I have to disable this feature?

Any help would be appreciated on this matter.

I believe that this has already been mentioned in the thread. Just replace the http:// with https:// in the slide out code at the bottom of the tpl_main_page.php file.

I think it may be something to do with a number of zen_href_link pointing to http:// rather than https://

If this is the case, I have yet to find how to set the zen_href_link parameter to default to https://

I had some issues with tab slider and ssl - changed http to https in templates/winchester/templates/tpl_index_default around line 49 -

You can do a search of the forum for instructions on how to edit your configuration files for the whole site in https. There are a few places in the template that need to be changed. They have already been listed out in this or the Westminster New template thread.

Do I need to manually copy over some english files to that of another language and translate this manually?
I have tried installing another language first and then Winshester responisive, and the other way around. But i get, amongst other things:
HEADER_TITLE_TOP_TEXT
HEADER_TITLE_CATEGORIES

I am a totally idiot on this website thing, dont know much about php or html.. so I wonder somebody may tell me what cause this? How can I fix it? which file should I edit?
Also, I did not know how to set a good looking products listing on the main page http://www.atopfashionstore.com/index.php?main_page=
For I would like to set it show in 3 or 4 rows, and with new products and feature products, I guess it could be done in zencart Admin? A lot to learn in Zencart..

Like I said, I am a totally idiot on this website thing, so please dont laugh me , any help would be highly appreciated.
Another thing, I have move my website from another host to my current host, could that be the reason cause broken links?
Any suggest would make my site look good please also give me here.......

Yes, the template comes with english. If you want to use the template package with another language you will need to copy the language files to your language and then translate them.

Check your logs folder for errors and correct them. My guess is that you have plugins installed that have files in the template override folder that you have not copied over to the new template override folder.

Any hint what might be wrong and how can I fix it???

When I view the source the code for the image, title, etc. is actually not there. Have you checked your logs folder for errors?

You can set the number of new products and specials using an admin switch. This has been asked and answered many times already on the forum. Please do a search for the answer.

Hi All,

I started getting this error in my logs:

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function count_contents() on a non-object in ../gifts4baby.ie/includes/templates/winchester_responsive/common/tpl_header.php on line 106

I tracked it down to Google bot visits to the site.

The template tries to display how many items are in the cart in the top right of the page and it accesses $_SESSION['cart'] to do that.

The problem is _SESSION['cart'] does not exist when bots visit (no session is created by Zencart) so the fatal error occurs.

The issue though is that this seems to work fine on an empty test store I set up in 20 minutes, so it appears that the Winchester template somehow manages to have something meaningful in $_SESSION['cart'] when a bot visits, on my test store, but not the real store.

Perhaps I have some customisation that causes this.

Anyway I am trying to understand how does the template get _SESSION populated for a bot.

Any help would be appreciated.

As things stand, the bot does not see anything other than the very top of the page and dies when displaying the cart content in the top right corner so site indexing is very broken by Google.
