Retreiving lost admin passwords

I have a website that I havent used in 5 or 6 years and forgot the password for admin. I click "resend password" and it does then give me the message "A new password has been sent to your e-mail address.".
However it does not actually send me an email (I have the email address correct as if I use a different email address it will tell me that its not a valid email address).
Any ideas on how I can access the admin on my website?
I am actually not sure what version of zencart that I am running

Well, seeing that it has been more than 2 years it's definitely not 1.5.x. So, follow the instructions of the below link with exception of do not do the actions associated with 1.5.x.

When asked to change your password, do not change the username, leave it as identified in the password change screen. Will probably then need to delete and recreate the admin username(s) that you want to use. Next action, upgrade the cart to 1.5.1 or the next official version of ZC that has been approved for production use.
