Simplifying and Cleaning Up the Layout of My Products Listing (In Categories Section)

The way my products are displayed after clicking through the categories is too busy and spread out for my liking, as seen here: http://www.nchgalleries.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=6_149_292_293_155

I would prefer to arrange them listing only the Name, Image, and price, with the "more info" button available if they would like to see the description and other details. I also would prefer that my images would be larger, but whenever I increase the size, my images overlap each other in odd ways.

I am slowly but surely learning how to customize my template using the CSS but it is usually through trial and error, so please use layman's terms with me. If you have any suggestions as to how I can reconfigure this, please let me know.

You can turn off the description in Admin - Configuration - Product Listing. As for the 'spread out' part, I would agree that your site is too wide. You can narrow it by setting #mainWrapper to something other than the current 90%. I usually use 980px.

You aren't really using version 1.3.7, are you ?

Thank you! Yes I am using version 1.3.7.. I did not set up zencart on my employer's computer so I am worried that any editing I have done will be erased due to the upgrade, if I do so.

Version 1.3.7 is much less secure than the current version and if you haven't been hacked yet, you will be.

Since a 1.3.7 site will be several years old, you might want to consider a new installation and re-design anyway. The upgrade instructions will provide information on upgrading your database so you don't lose customer/order info.
