Westminster New

Hi All

It looks like this template is a total WINNER!! Thanks Anne, the one thing I am struggling with is adding InstantSearch to it, seemed to be an easy install but it literally conflicts with just about everything about this template. The addon seems to work but then the drop down menus stop working and all of a sudden there is a hamburger in the top left of my screen (That doesn't do anything) I would really LOVE an addon that suggests products on your site as you start typing and thought I had found it in "InstantSearch" but I would rather go without it than destroy such a great template. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My guess is that the jquery from the module is conflicting with the template. You will need to remove from the module any reference or files involving the jquery library and then make adjustments so that the other module jscript files are loading in the correct order. See this:

I am using ZenCart v1.5.3. and the latest Westminster New v1.2 template.
Everything is working beautifully except for one thing:
I would like to refer to my website (url link) from within Facebook.
The link works fine, but the description displays "Westminster New Zen Cart Template, by Picaflor Azul" instead of the website name as specified in meta_tags.php.
When I search for the display in the developers tool to try and locate it, it cannot be found.
It must be hidden somewhere, if someone can give me some pointers please.

You do need to add your info to the includes/languages/english/westminster_new/meta_tags.php file. Be sure that you are changing the override file and that you are over writing the file on your server to see the changes.

If you have already changed the file, then it might just take a while for facebook to pick up the changes.

Thank you Anne, I've done that. Maybe I should exercise some patience with Facebook.

Normally, there is a bit of a lag on facebooks side ;) If you don't see the change after a while, be sure that you have edited the override file.

I did find it thanks and when you delete the links where can I find them to get them back.

You can add anything to the footer in admin--tools--flexible footer menu.

Is this just not the coolest Template ever :cool: really, thank you Anne you have done something really special here. I was wondering if someone would be able to assist me with one little adjustment I would like to make. I have added a wishlist to the template and it all seems to be working really well but firstly I would like to add a little heart icon to the left of the link just like there are icons indicating log out checkout and so on. I would like to put a little purple heart something like this heart in order to make it look cool as well as calm the OCD in my head :blink: and then I would like a wishlist link to appear in the mobile versions of the site as well as at the moment the only way you can access your wishlist is via Desktop. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated :smile: Thanks again for a great Template

I would recommend using font awesome to add the image. You can edit the includes/templates/westminster_new/common/tpl_header.php file and just add your icon before your wishlist link as:

<i class="fa fa-heart"></i>

If you want to add it to the tablet and mobile versions, just add your link and icon to includes/templates/westminster_new/common/tpl_header_mobile.php and includes/templates/westminster_new/common/tpl_header_tablet.php

A warning messege is displayed as WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again.I read Ann's response to this post and took her advice. I reinstalled the files for the template and now the pages work. I suppose the overwite setting was wong in Filezilla when I originally installed the template.

I have the template installed and im not sure what happened but now i am missing the description/details/review tabs and i am unable to view multiple images...Im positive a file is missing and i dont know where to look.

Also, the add to cart button is now on the bottom...Im so confused on what happened!

Can anyone help?
