Westminster_New_1.1 issues

Homepage slide show appears twice on the homepage in v1.1 on tablet devices
Top rendition does not have the 370x400px hometop image on the left side.
2nd rendition does have the hometop image and the homeslide images

black bar at the top of the page on all pages on tablet devices both orientations
This does not appear on desktop view

Neither of these issues are present when I replace the V1.1 template files with the original template files.
Both issues reappear when I replace the original template files with v1.1 template files

It is a great theme!
Sorting function of "Specials", but is does not work. . .

Sorry about that! I did mess up this template package when I did the update. I will be submitting another update soon with the corrections. You can download the corrections from my site for now if you need them.

This is an image of the website.

My guess is that you have either not uploaded all of the template package files, or uploaded them to the incorrect place on your server. Or, if you had modules installed on your previous template you will need to copy over the module override files to the new template override directory. This must be done with any new template install.

You can do a lot by editing the css. If you want to make css changes to your site I would recommend using chrome or firefox and installing the web devloper tools. They will help you to locate the exact line of the exact file that you need to edit to make your changes.

Shouldn’t the file included with the template

/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/westminster_new/winchester_responsive_defines.php

actually be

/includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/westminster_new/westminster_new_defines.php

as specified in the template setup file along with any other changes necessary to accomodate the filename?

Yes, that is correct ;) I will add this to a list for a future update.

The desktop version seems ok now. But when i view on the mobile, the search and the account buttons are gone. I believe they are hiding behind the logo.

Do you know what could be done for this ?

Fixed it. Somehow i had messed up the stylesheet. So, did a fresh install of stylesheet and modified again as per need and that has worked.

However, all your suggestions are welcome to make things better. !!

Glad to hear you took some time off & hope it had the desired affect.

Could you point me in the direction to change the color of the FA fonts/icons? I think that is the last of the 'blue' that I need to change.

Sorry, but the v1.1 files downloaded from your site are causing the problem of duplicate slideshow/banner when compared to the v1.0 files.
