Zen Cart Used on Fraudulent Ray Ban Website

This is to notify the creators of Zen Cart that it has been used as the payment processing package for a FAKE Ray-Ban site in Ireland. I am one of many people who has made payments to this company for items which we will never receive, nor will we recoup the monies paid to the company.

The website address http://rayban-ireland.com/ until recently offered discounted Ray Ban sunglasses, it now redirects to Ray Ban's official brand enforcement. I think this should be noted by Zen Cart as it is entirely possible that there are many people out of pocket at the hands of the perpetrators of this fake business.

Perhaps something can be done to get to the bottom of this issue and have these fraudulent payments returned.

We are sorry to hear you are having a problem, but while the site may be using Zen Cart as the free open source software driving their website, we have no control over it after the program is downloaded and installed. We do not host or otherwise have any relationship with the sites using the program.

If you have a dispute with the site, you need to contact the site owner and their hosting service. You might find https://www.domaintools.com to be useful for looking up contact information using the website address.

If you used a credit card and feel that you have been ripped off, we would suggest that you contact your credit card company/bank and request a chargeback (refund) for not getting your merchandise.
If you think they have committed fraud, then you should also report the site to your local authorities.

Sincerely,

The Zen Cart Team
