Two Zones per Country?

HI Gang!

So I am entering zone tables into the Zone Rate shipping table, and I have a dilemma on countries like China which has to be broken down into 2 Zones (China 1 and China 2, depending on the province).
I am not sure how to enter the country's ISO code in this case and how to separate those zones.

You might look at this add on Plugin for Zone Tables where you can build Zone Definitions and use those rather than just the Country ...

Why does China have to be broken down into 2 zones?

So I installed it but I don't see how to add more than 1 Shipping Zone available. I added China 01 and China 02 zone definition and they show up in the Shipping Zone 1 dropdown.
But I only have one Zone 1 Shipping Table available. How do I add the rates for China 02, etc?

PS: DHL breaks down China in two shipping zones. I am using Zone Rates for DHL rates.

I added the zone definitions while I was editing the module. I had to remove and re-install it. It all works now. thanks!!

For some reason the little dot (in the sort column) of this Zones Table Rate module is yellow. Am I doing something wrong?

Most likely because you have Zones Definitions set on that shipping module but I have not installed it for quite some time and forget if the Zone Definitions in it trigger the yellow icon for that or not as that would be the trigger on any other shipping module ...

Also - it looks like the module is not listed in the shipping estimator. As if it is not active.

I have only the three options (cloned Zone Table modules). The one in discussion should be the 4th shipping option listed.

Go to the Modules ... Shipping ... and click on Zone Table Rate zonetable ... what shows in the right hand panel?

Here's a screen caption:

When using any of the Zone shipping files, you want to use the definitions in order ...

You have Zone 1 defined, then skip Zone 2 then have Zone 3 defined ...

Try cleaning that up and see if it works better ...

Had that changed so now I have the two zones in consecutive order starting at Zone 1, but still same result.

What do you have in your Zone Definitions for the DETAILS on these Zones?

If you meant the Locations/Taxes-->Zone Definitions, then selecting the DETAIL button on one of those zones, I have listed nothing.
Strange. What should I see there?

If you are trying to use a Zone Definition then it has to have DETAILS or it does not do anything ...

What is your idea behind China 1 and China 2?

Thanks a lot! That was IT. I had to add the zones details. It works fine now.
The reason why I need two separate zones for China is because DHL breaks down China in two separate shipping zones.
