Email different suppliers for different products.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to have zen cart send a copy of an order direct to the supplier for different products.

e.g. buyer buys ITEM A and ITEM B. I want it to send an email not only to me but to SUPPLIER A for ITEM A and SUPPLIER B for ITEM B.

I don't know if anyone has managed to do that or even if a module/plugin exists to do this.

There are some purchase order modules that will send out a purchase order or packing slip on a Cron basis. Although I personally don't like how any of them I have seen are written.

However it wouldn't be incredibly difficult to add an order observer that sent the supplier a confirmation email for each product that was ordered.
OR if you wanted to hack it together...you could modify the includes/classes/order.php where it emails the admin. and have it loop through get all the manufacturers of the products and then email them that way. But I would recommend against modifying core files unless it is truly the only way. Whereas in this case a properly written observer should be fine.
