The function zen_get_new_date_range() obtains the date range based on your settings in the Maximum Values for what you consider to be New Products ...

Yeah. I figured that out. What I didn't figure out is why the same code (and result) produced a SQL error when using a different 'new' category.

Without that, all Products are grabbed and the limit on the display attempts to grab all products regardless of when the Products were added ...

This is what I actually needed in this instance anyway (no date restrictions), so once I realised that I decided my conditional check to avoid the error was actually the way to go anyway. As such I didn't investigate any further.

All is working exactly as the client wanted.

Now to take care of some of their other 'wants'.
