Additional images popup and jquery

I've run into a problem when I combine mobile jquery with the additional images popup - getting an error of:

Resource interpreted as Image but transferred with MIME type text/html

The image does appear briefly in firefox and then displays a broken path:
products_image_large_additional=images/microsoft/images/microsoft/imexplorer_A37.gif
doubles the DIR_WS_IMAGES in other words.

The jquery gurus (all over everywhere) keep saying this isn't a jquery issue but the error does not appear in the default zen cart.

"That means that your server didn't set the correct MIME type for the image. It should have been image/gif."

This can't be a server issue but I don't see how the php code can be at fault either.

Any one got any idea of what could be happening at this one spot? There are no other issues with any images otherwise.

What's in your configure file?

It's not the configure file - it all works otherwise. If I open it up in a blank page, it's fine. It's only when I open it up inside the page, that it goes haywire.

This is in the mobile template - my last bug to fix for the new version. Will send link if you want to look.

I was thinking maybe you named the images directory twice, on in configure and once in the jQuery, but if it works on a blank page.... then seems to me you will need to create a new location string for the jQuery function specifically

Yeah, well, don't know how. I'm going to play with the php first and see if I can come up with a work-around since I have a better grasp of all the bits involved now.

OMG, I got it to work. (hours later)

I bypassed the additional image pop up file code completely and used only the module additional images file - just added one bit of code in the right place! All of that extra code was to be able to use a separate file to popup. A simple and elegant change - removing a lot of code from the cart!
