Making a next page/previous page button for categories on main page

Making a next page/previous page button for categories on main page

I set my main page to open with category, but the categories are many and there does not seem to be a next/previous page option with categories like there are when you go to featured or special products, etc. Does any one know of a way to set a next/previous page for category listings so it is more easy to navigate and does not take forever to load? Thanks!

It's still in developement but my site is spanishmovies.com. Right now, there are only six categories on the main page... I tried putting over 30 and the page never showed a next page option, so I changed it back to six since it was too long without an option to turn the page...
