What's the difference between ZC Counter History and Google Analytics?

Recently installed Google Analytics in the header template in my custom directory. Everything seems to be working, I get scads and scads of data in the Google Analytics screen. What I don't understand in the difference between what is displayed under my Zen Cart Admin Tools "Counter History" and the data reported by GA. For example, ZC showed 63 sessions for 316 pages, yet GA showed 18 sessions for 252 pages. Today, so far, it is ZC 54/146, GA 8/55. Why the difference? Website is https://www.heirloomstocherich.com.

Google analytics holds a cookie for 24 hours, so re-visitors are not counted within that time frame. Zen does not.

Zen Cart Counter could be a little easy, but works fine on day monitor and come with IP, Whios information
