One of my changed Admin passwords does not log-in

I tried to log in this morning and got a message that my password was old so I changed it. But after that I could not log-in with the new changed password.

So I ran the SQL code on my DB and I could log in OK with the Admin user name and pw that was created. It forced me to change the pw and the new pw worked OK.
Then I reset the pw for my original user name and I could not log in with the new pw.

I could log in again OK with the Admin user name and pw and I created a new admin user with pw. This works OK.
Then I reset the pw for my original user name again and I could not log in with the new pw.

It is not a big issue as I have two admin user names that work OK but it would be good to fix my original log in problem.
I wonder if the original user name is corrupted? Or more likely I did something dumb :)

Any suggestions welcome!

Have you tried different browsers? Same issue?

Yes I tried both Google Chrome and IE11; same problem.

I am having an issue with logging in. I upgraded to 1.5.3 July 29th. All worked well for a few weeks. Last week, I received some orders and went to process them and the administrator password would not work, nor did the second admin account I set up. Assuming I forgot the Admin name, I went into phpMyAdmin and looked up the user names and they were correct. I used the script to change the user/password back to Admin/admin, and the script worked correctly. I then tried to open ZenCart using Admin/admin, and it would not work. I have tried old user names and new to no avail. I did not get a warning after 30 days to change my password, but then these problems happened before 30 days was up. I tried having Zencart mail me a new password, which it did, but those passwords would not work, either. Not sure what to try next, other than a reinstall, which takes some time due to all the mods.

I have same problem here...i try everything...reset passwrod on the admin page, reset password on the phpmyadmin and nothing...this drive me crazy...
