How to change names in a side box link and in the bottom section

I have spent hours trying to figure this out with no success.

I have hidden my about us page in the information box or on my shop now renamed customer service, and am wanting to add a new link there with some information on, and am wondering if I can change the name of the About Us and us that, if so how do I go about that in what to edit and where am lost.

Also I am wanting to change the name of the important links down at the bottom of the site and cannot find where to do that or how.

I would be grateful if someone can point me in the right direction please

The easiest way is to use the Admin - Tools - Developers Tool Kit to search for the terms you want to change. You're looking for 'language files', which is where the names of things are defined. In the case of 'Important Links', for example, you'll find it's in includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/ez_pages_definitions.php. You'll want to save the edited file to your template's proper override folder.

I have tried changing the title of About Us in the following place

It should be in the includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/templates/ folder. Maybe named footer.php or similar.

Ok have changed the Important Links to what I wanted just cannot figure out how to change the name of the about us the about us

Unhide it and I'll give you the answer ;)

Have just unhid the About Us link

includes/languages/english/ashley_pink/about_us.php

defines the name listed in the navbar and heading

includes/languages/english/extra_definitions/ashley_pink/about_us.php

defines the name listed on the 'information' sidebox

Hello Stevesh, I have the same problem and have with cuteftp opened the directory and looked for the same path to change the link names to the pages: page 2, page 3, page 4, I have found several PHP files with the define quote of pages 2, 3, 4, in black text... changed page 2 to Our Service saved and then dumped the cache to my browser Firefox then refreshed and no luck. Hours at it Frustrated to no end!!! So what should I do? My store is http://barnbusterdeals.com.. HELP!

The changes you need to make:
includes/languages/english/YOUR_TEMPLATE/page_2.php

define('NAVBAR_TITLE', 'Page 2');
define('HEADING_TITLE', 'Page 2');

define('TEXT_INFORMATION', 'Page 2 information goes here.');

And

Since you are using the classic green template right now, make the changes to the files in the **/classic **folder or copy the file to this folder, make the changes then upload to begin using the override system properly.
