Removing / editing text on main product page

I am trying to remove some text from the main product page. I have the price displayed and then the text [Price includes VAT]

Where can I edit or remove the text displayed after the price.

Thanks for your help.

A link to the site will help us help you. Failing that, use the Admin - Tools - Developers Tool Kit to search for the string you want to change.

Line #69 of what file? Open that file and make your edits, then re-upload the file.

The file is:

/var/www/vhosts/handlesandpulls.co.uk/httpdocs/includes/templates/hp1/templates/tpl_product_info_display.php

So where do I access the file in order to open it?

Re: Removing / editing text on main product page

You use an FTP program to download the file to your computer from the server, edit it in a text editor, and re-upload it to the same folder.

OK great. Now I understand how the process works I am going to be using FileZilla

I have connected to other services using FL before. The domain is:

https://www.handlesandpulls.co.uk

I have a U/N and a P/W that I use to login but they do not appear to work at all. I don't even get an 'incorrect password' response. Is there a different address, format or U/N & P/W that I need to use?

Once I connect I think I have all of it cracked.

Thanks for all your help so far.

Re: Removing / editing text on main product page

I should have said this in my first post: if you're really using Zencart version 1.3.0, and it appears you may be, your first order of business should be to update your installation to the current 1.5.3. Your version is very insecure, and your inability to log in to admin may be the result of your store having been hacked.

I never said anything about it being hacked!

Yes.

Are you saying that you have hacked the site?

If I know how to connect via ftp then I'll be able to update it I suspect...

Re: Removing / editing text on main product page

For crying out loud. No, I haven't hacked your site, but there's every chance someone has. I'll say it again - version 1.3.0 is very insecure, and you should be worrying about upgrading ASAP.

You might be able to reset your admin credentials using this: http://www.zen-cart.com/content.php?44-how-do-i-change-or-reset-my-admin-password-%28i-lost-it%29

Are you saying you can't access the Zencart admin and the hosting control panel using FTP ?

Re: Removing / editing text on main product page

Sorry, didn't mean to offend or accuse. If I can get onto the ftp site then the first thing I will do is upgrade it.

I can login to Admin no problem. I can see the Configuration, Catalog, Modules....etc

With regards the 'hosting control panel using FTP' where will I do this if not via FileZilla.

I assume that it would be:

Host: mydomainname.co.uk
Username: My admin name
Password: My admin password
Port: Blank

Re: Removing / editing text on main product page

The login credentials for the FTP program will be different from your Zencart admin login. It should be the same as your hosting account control panel login. If you don't have those, contact your hosting company.
