Admin login page gives time zone error

Hello,

I have suddenly been locked out of my admin page. When I log in I get the following message:

Warning: strtotime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are required to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected the timezone 'UTC' for now, but please set date.timezone to select your timezone. in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage23/wi/g_/we/wig-web.co.uk/public_html/braefootvenison/??????/login.php on line 13 (?s replace actual folder name for security reasons)

Line 13 reads:

define('ADMIN_PASSWORD_EXPIRES_INTERVAL', strtotime('- 90 day'));

Can anyone tell me how I can get the admin login working again please?

Many thanks

Tog Porter

Re: Admin login page gives time zone error

You don't mention if this is an upgrade. If it was and you previously had the timezone offset installed, this may need to be removed.

If not, check your includes/extra_configures for a set_time_zone.php for an incorrect entry around line 13-14.

If both check out, have your host make sure php is set correctly.

Just saw that you said 1.5.1. It may not contain the extra_confugures/set_time_zone.php.:blush:
