Free Shipping / Overide USPS rates

I've reviewed almost every post to see if someone has mentioned my issue.

I have created a FREE SHIPPING rule for items over $50.00. What I need to happen during checkout regarding FREE SHIPPING is for that option to be the only one listed. Currently FREE SHIPPING is checked but options for USPS rates are also available. This seem confusing to me, so I would assume that customers may find it confusing as well.

I have attached a image to further explain my issue.

Thank you in advance for your time.

Are you trying to offer Free Shipping Options freeoptions for everyone when the Order is >= 50.00?

YES. exactly

Yes. Exactly.

Assuming you are using the current USPS September 7. 2014 K5 version of USPS ...

Edit the shipping module:
/includes/modules/shipping/usps.php

and add the code in RED:

      global $template, $current_page_base;
      // CUSTOMIZED CONDITIONS GO HERE
      // Optionally add additional code here to change $this->enabled to false based on whatever custom rules you require.
      // -----

// bof: disable USPS if cart >= 50
if ($_SESSION['cart']->show_total() >= 50) {
  $this->enabled = false;
}
// eof: disable USPS if cart >= 50

      // -----
      // eof: optional additional code
    }

    $this->notify('NOTIFY_SHIPPING_USPS_UPDATE_STATUS');

Thank you. Worked like a charm.

Thanks for the update that this is now working for you to disable USPS on orders of >= $50.00 ... :smile:
