Moving from godaddy to hostpapa

hi,
I would appreciate your help. I just moved my website which includes a zen cart from godaddy to hostpapa. I am applying the tutorials/faqs instruction:
"I want to move my Zen Cart installation to another host or a different server"
Specifically, I have completed step 1 and 2 by doing a fresh installation of zen cart with the instruction provided by hostpapa. However, for the rest of the steps, they are not clear to me.

Currently, a fresh installation is residing in mydomain.com/new/index.php and I have ftped my backup files to mydomain.com/old/index.php. I have also copied the new server's /includes/configure.php and /admin/includes/configure.php to the /old folder.

My questions are:

  1. how do I tell zen cart to use my /old folder files and parameters?
  2. Do I have to do anything with the admin folder, username and password? I tried to change the /new folder to /old folder but did not see any improvement.
  3. I have also created my old mySQL database and tried to copy the data from the old database to the new database using mySQL operation feature. But, mySQL told me that it could not be done. How do I tell the new Zen cart to use my old data? Is there anything else to do with the file.sql or file.sql.zip?

Thanks again for your help
