Users can get around minimum quantity restriction

In my online store i have products with a minimum quantity. However, some customers have been able to change the minimum quantity to less by changing the values in the checkout. As i am selling pairs this leavs me with uneven numbers. Is there any quick fix i could do to change this.

Re: Users can get around minimum quantity restriction

Easiest solution I believe is to revert to the default template. Otherwise it should be controlled to not allow checkout when quantity of a product is less than the minimum.

Do the products have attributes, and if so does the total order of all the same product having different attributes equal your minimum value? Ie, what are the conditions that are set to allow purchase of a quantity less than the minimum? What all is in the cart, what are the minimum settings?

If you're selling items in pairs, then say if the minimum is 2 (to get a pair), and they select 3 there is no minimum violation. Would need to set the units value for the product to 2 to also force the 4th item to the cart.

Re: Users can get around minimum quantity restriction

My thought would be to have each item as a pair, so if they select one, they get one pair. If they select five, they get five pairs.
Then update the listing to state that they will receive a pair for each item purchased.
