I am confused as to what this new version does?

Do I have to install it? Is there a change that will make my shipping not work?

I see it involves insurance, ? then saying it needs additional work to complete. I am confused.

I have v 1.3.9h

This removes the CURL references that have been linked to the POODLE bug ...

There are settings built in to identify Insurance costs for those who want to make this optional, but that will required an Order Total module to be added ...

There is now an option on Online quotes to obtain the First-Class Package Service that was not previously available on the shipping quotes ...

You may be able to get away with using the previous version, but I am more comfortable with this new USPS October 30, 2014 K6 version ...
