Could I delete an option value to which some products linked.

When I tried to delete a option value, I got a notice said "This option has products and values linked to it - it is not safe to delete it". If I delete it, what will happen. Will the database be damaged?

Re: Could I delete an option value to which some products linked.

If you page down a bit on the Catalog->Option Name Manager display, you'll see a section titled Delete ALL Option Values to ALL products for Option Name. Select the Option Name you want to delete from the drop-down list and click the *Update *button. That will safely remove the option (and all its values) from all products in your store.

Be sure to backup your database first!
