v153 No Quantity Box In Shopping Cart To Update

I have no quantity box showing on the product listing. So, the customer can just click the buy now button. That settings just fine but when you're in the shopping cart, the quantity box is gone there as well. So, the customer while in the shopping cart can't update it to add more quantities to the product if they wanted.

The other bad thing is, if the customer goes back and buys the same product, now there's a quantity of 2 for the product in the shopping cart. Since there's no quantity box, they can't update that as well, if the choose to delete one quantity or add more.

Am I missing another setting some place? The only thing i'm setting is "No, Do not show Quantity Box" on the products catalog page.

Again, when I have the setting set to show quantity box on the product, it's shows both in the product listing and shopping cart. If I have no quantity box, i get the buy now but and no quantity box in the shopping cart.

If a Product is marked as:

Products Quantity Box Shows: No, Do not show Quantity Box

then it does not show anywhere ...

Is there a work around, if you would like the buy now button in the product listing and keep it where you can still update your quantity in the shopping cart?

The benefits to the user i'm tying to achieve:

1. The customer, can update their cart at checkout if they decide to order more of the product
2. If there's no update field, then if the customer orders two of one product, they are forced to delete the product and start over vs. if they could just simply update it.

If that setting is on for all products, but in the Configuration ... Product Listing ... you set this to 0 for OFF:

Do you want to display Add Multiple Products Qty Box and Set Button Location?
0= off
1= Top
2= Bottom
3= Both

does it accomplish what you are trying to do?

Not exactly but I like that better though... :o) I originally was shooting for just a buy now button on the product listing but the buy now plus quantity field on the product listing will do just fine. The Shopping Cart page, is exactly how I wanted it.

What is your setting for:

Display Product Add to Cart Button (0=off; 1=on; 2=on with Qty Box per Product)
Do you want to display the Add to Cart Button?

NOTE: Turn OFF Display Multiple Products Qty Box Status to use Option 2 on with Qty Box per Product

Does setting that to 1 give you just the button?
