Is a simple way to redirect the inner page links?

I had combined the checkout_shipping and checkout_payment to one page called checkout. However, I found a lot page have referred these two pages, as "zen_href_link(FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING, '', 'SSL')" and "set_snapshot(array('mode' => 'SSL', 'page' => FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING));".

Could I simply change the define of the FILENAME_CHECKOUT_SHIPPING and FILENAME_CHECKOUT_PAYMENT, make them referring to "checkout"? Or there is another solution?

Thanks
