Stupid Question Time,,, Is backing up DB same as backing up store?

This is so all new to me. I figured out how to backup the database, but when reading how to install COWOA it says back up the DB and backup the store.
How do I back up the store?

It's just a matter of copying all your Zencart files to another location. This mod does a good job with both:

Re: Stupid Question Time,,, Is backing up DB same as backing up store?

Asking questions about how to perform a backup is NEVER considered a "Stupid Question".

It is the NOT asking and NOT backing up that is stupid.

Cheers
RodG

PS. I tend to use an FTP program for my manual backups. I also have an automated backup performed weekly, but this saves the files in a compressed format which makes it a little more difficult to restore single files, as such, it is only use to recover from catastrophic failures.

Re: Stupid Question Time,,, Is backing up DB same as backing up store?

This might help:

Access to your files is via an FTP program such as Filezilla, WinSCP or Coffee Cup FTP.
Access to your database is via PHPMyAdmin.

Files can be modified with an editor such as Notepad++.
Your database can be modified via PHPMyAdmin or via the Zen Cart Admin panel.

Your template is a set of files.
Your products are records in a database.

Make sense? And as RodG says, backing up both frequently is a good practice.
