Updated PHP5.2 to PHP5.3 now nothing works,,, nothing, notta,

Think I hosed myself? zen 1.51
I want to install COWOA, so I check my PHP version on Godaddy. It showed 5 with no .2 after the 5.
When I finally figured out how to change versions, the screen showed that 5.2 was active and 5.3 was an option.

Well COWOA apparantly needs 5.2, godaddy's version showed to be 5, so I figured since 5.2 is no longer supported, might as well install 5.3,,,

That's when I get "WARNING: An Error occurred, please refresh the page and try again."

Whaty I need to do?

Don't be misled by the "PHP Fatal Error". This doesn't have anything to do with PHP itself. It is simply the reporting agent.

The real problem relates to your database settings, so the 1st thing you need to do is inspect your configure.php files and ensure that they have valid settings for the database.

If it is only the customers getting this error it will be /includes/configure.php
If the error is when accessing the admin part of the site then it'll be /YOURADMIN/includes/configure.php

If both, then both :)

Found my problem,,, almost there,,, when I was trying to figure out the php version, I wound up changing the password on the database. Changed the configuration.php in includes and now the store is up, but need to find the other one so that i can log in as admin

found it, it was in admin/includes

The error you showed at the top (DB_ERROR_NOT_CONNECTED) means your configure files are specifying the wrong DB information. Look at includes/configure.php and YOUR_ADMIN/includes/configure.php.

No problems with the store, but COWOA doesn't seem to work yet
No change in the checkout procedure/paypal doesn't show up, still need to log on to buy something,,,

OK back on track,,, problem with COWOA was default template oriented,,,
