multiple login screens in one page

Any reason I can get multiple login screens in one page after ZenCart upgraded to V1.5.4 using softaculous? Thanks.

What exactly do you mean by 'multiple login screens'?

Re: multiple login screens in one page

I'm seeing multiple chained 302 redirects when trying to access URLs on the OP's posted website.

Please post both "/wholesalet/includes/configure.php" and "/wholesalet/admin/includes/configure.php". Feel free to obscure DB_SERVER_USERNAME and DB_SERVER_PASSWORD.

Is there a .htaccess file at "/" or "/wholesalet/"? Please post the contents if present.

Do you have subdomains (or other hosted domains) inside "/"?

Any redirects configured in your hosting provider's control panel?

What plugins are installed? Are any installed which alter the URLs?

You said you used "softalicious" to upgrade. Post any differences between your installation and a stock Zen Cart 1.5.4 installation (see this article).

If you have a backup of the store from before the "upgrade", the best route may be starting the upgrade over and following the instructions to rebuild the site on the new version and review the overview of upgrading. The process outlined in the official documentation is the safest and most efficient manner of performing an upgrade (especially on a store with a customized store with a theme, plugins, and other modifications).

NOTE: Do not simply "overwrite" the old Zen Cart files with the new Zen Cart files. Start with a clean folder and add only the new Zen Cart files initially.

Where are the Zen Cart Debug Logs? Where are the HTTP 500 / Server Error Logs?

Re: multiple login screens in one page

So....
If I'm reading you correctly, you used Softaculous originally but now you have tried it with actual files downloaded from http://www.zen-cart.com/latest?
If you still have the problem and have NOT added any mods to the 1.5.4 version, you have a problem with something placed in the OLD database by a previously installed mod.

I had a fresh v154, test it, works, dropped everything in db, imported db from v153 site, run zc_install, upgraded to v154, then problem comes out. it was one login screen before run zc_install for db upgrade.

Re: multiple login screens in one page

Hi All,

I think I have found the bug, "multiple login" comes out when you set the details as below in v154, I replicated it in fresh v154, nothing to do with db upgrade, thanks.

==========
admin->configure->customers details

Customer Approval Status - Authorization Pending
1= Must be Authorized to Browse

Confirmed.

Clearly I haven't used that setting in awhile.

Re: multiple login screens in one page

Thanks Dr Byte, that worked a treat. I do have an 'authorized to browse' requirement and this handles the issue.

BTW, even if you get multiple login screens down the page (22 on one occasion!), you only have to fill in the top one, and everything works after that. It's just a bit surprising the first time for those who don't expect it!
