Website Hosting Question (newby)

Hey all, new here. I'd like to use Zen Cart for my online business but I'm not sure how to start. For one, I need to buy hosting for my website (presumably). I don't have a server at home, so need to buy hosting somewhere. Any recommendations on which ones work well with Zen Cart or does it matter? I've been using Magento Go but it's shutting down. I'm hoping to build my store somewhat from scratch. Also, my merchant account company suggests Zen Cart, so that's what I'm going to try to use.
