Cannot add product description

Hello, I have a problem with adding product description. When I click "preview" everything seems to be fine, after clicking "update" the description disappears. What could be the reason? Php problem? The current version is 5.4.
Any help appreciated :D!

The best long term fix is to upgrade to Zen Cart 1.5.4.
Zen Cart 1.3.9h reached End of Life in June 2012 (and is no longer officially supported).

Running Zen Cart 1.3.x (released in October 2010) under PHP 5.4+ (released in March 2012) is not supported. A "quick fix" for a live store may be reverting the "live" server to PHP 5.3. Others reporting a similar situation have reported this to be a viable temporary fix (however I have not run into this issue or tested this fix myself).

If the above "quick fix" does work, you will still want to start work on an upgrade ASAP. PHP 5.3 is already past End of Life and hosting providers may start removing it from their servers (if not already removed).
