How do I alter product template pages?

I have Zen Cart installed on my web site and find it too complex to use. For me it is just impenetrable.

For example on my ebook page

I get a stupid message at the bottom of the page:

For more information, please visit this product's webpage.

How do I get rid of this please?

And on my books page I get an irrelevant dialog box about file type. How do I get rid of this please?

1. Admin - Catalog - Product Types - Edit Layout - Show Product URL

2. You (or someone) has told Zencart your book is available as a .pdf or a .jpg. I'll admit that doesn't make much sense, but there it is. You can fix that in Admin - Catalog - Attributes Controller.
